Fred Akers has led two frogging expeditions (3/22 and 3/26/07) to four vernal ponds on campus in coordination with Jamie Cromartie's Ecological Principles class. Peepers calling in 100s, possibly 1000s, and chorus frogs calling in dozens on humid and warm (high 50s/low 60s?) on 3/22; peepers, chorus frogs, and southern leopard frogs calling on cooler (low 40s?) on 3/26 -- in somewhat lower numbers.
