Jack Connor > This and two following photos are apparent male dotted skipper, Hesperia attalus, at Parker Preserve, 6/28/08, same white sandy field with sandwort that I photo'd several dotteds last year. This individual so worn it is hard to ID.
Jack Connor > ID of dotted skipper based primarily on pattern on hind wing with larger backward facing spot nearest base of wing then arrangement of other dots (faded on this individual) around it. Spots on forewing also match dotted (at least it seems to me).
